Diane Von Furstenberg New American Express Spokesperson
Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg has partnered up with the credit card company American Express to be shot in its advertising campaign.
Glam Boulevard reports that along side TV ads, the company plans to advertise in the print media using photographs by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz.
The spot, filmed by Capote director Bennett Miller, will also include a print advertisement shot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz. Revealing her life story and ambitions through beautiful images, the campaign show how, through fashion, she became the woman she is today.
Fashion Notebook quotes Furstenberg commenting on her new business agreement.
“Women inspire me and I inspire them to be independent and free, which is how I feel when I use my American Express card,” said Von Furstenberg. “American Express represents a sign of independence and freedom and if you have your card, you can do anything.”
Not only does Furstenberg feel honored by working with American Express, but the company says it feels privileged too. The New York Observer quotes Deborah Curtis, the Vice President of the Advertising department in American Express, commenting on the company’s new partnership.

According to Business Wire, American Express has become a supporter of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) after donating $500,000 to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund (CVFF).
