Your Colorful Hippie Costume
One of the greatest things of dressing like a Hippie for a Halloween party is that you don’t necessarily need to match all the parts. It’s not so difficult to make a Hippie costume from whatever you have.
Although, there are some must have items: T-shirt, bell-bottomed, flip flops or maybe boots, sunglasses and a few other accessories.
Maybe the most colorful part of your costume will be the T-shirt. When buying or dyeing one yourself make sure it is bright and multicolor. Or if you want a simple one just have a plain T-shirt with the “peace symbol” on it.
As for the bell-bottomed pants those may be jeans, corduroy, or even a knit material. If you want you may dye your pants as well. The flip flops or boots must also be typical to Hippie style and must remind of 1960s.
In Hippie costumes each detail is to be fascinating itself and in combination, but the flavor of the personage are the accessories like bandanas, sunglasses, pendants and beads. The Hippie style sunglasses are the round ones in different colors, so search for a nice pair of your favorite color. As for the pendants the peace sign is the hit again. Actually it is widely used in Hippie style so you may draw one on your pants or make a tattoo on your face.
