Michael Bastian has designed a new fashion line for GAP, which will be featured at GAP’s new 2008 Design Editions. Hollywoodlife.net reports that among the designers for GAP Design Editions are CFDA winners; Phillip Lim, Threeasfour, Philip Crangi and Michael Bastian.

Well, love is in the air again, because the second coming of Gap Design Editions hit the public yesterday. Though the scene wasn’t was crazy as Roberto Cavalli for H&M or Kate Moss for Topshop, a report from Racked claimed the Gap store on Fifth Avenue in New York sold 200 shirts in half an hour.

According to Right Celebrity, Bastian was nominated for the 2008 CFDA Menswear designer of the year award as well as the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award where he was a finalist.

Gap is releasing its 2008 Gap Design Editions, and the line is going to feature clothes by several up-and-coming designers. Gap has partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers/Vogue Fashion Fund to support and encourage new American designers, and introduce them to new audiences.

The prices for the items in the fashion line designed by Bastian start at $58.
