Isla Moda Partners With Dubai Fashion Week
Isla Moda has signed up an agreement to partner with Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), a fashion trade event that takes place twice a year in Dubai. AME Info reports that this new partnership gives Isla Moda the right to be the Title Partner for the event.
This association grants the world’s first dedicated fashion island, exclusivity as DFW’s principal associate to further position itself as the region’s premier fashion destination.
Isla Moda, the first fashion island ever designed to be built in Dubai, is the project of Dubai Infinity Holdings. According to The Beauty Blog, “Isla Moda will combine a fashion resort of themed residential villas with haute couture boutiques and luxury hospitality facilities.”
The idea is to establish Dubai as a global fashion hub. Isla Moda will also reportedly include a luxury fashion hotel which will boast approximately 250 rooms and serviced apartments, along with boutiques representing the world’s most prominent designers.
DubaiCityGuide.com quotes Samira Abdulrazzak, the CEO of Dubai Infinity Holdings, commenting on their new partnership with Dubai Fashion Week.
Isla Moda is proud to partner with DFW. Considering our stand on fashion and related disciplines, it is only natural that we align ourselves with the region’s premier fashion trade event. This is a great opportunity for us to show our support for the talent in this region. Partnering with Dubai Fashion Week, will reiterate Duba’s already significant standing as the region’s fashion linchpin and further position the city on the global fashion map through Isla moda’s unique concept.
The fall/winter 2008 edition of DFW will be held from March 19-22, 2008, at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The Fashion Week will present some of the region’s best designers, reports Al Bawaba.com.
