New York Fashion Week
The time has come for New York Fashion Week. This time, it has been organized in Bryant Park, New York City.
About.com reports that designers, models and celebrities all gathered to see what the Fall/Winter 2008 collection brings with it.
New York Fashion Week is hot and heavy in Bryant Park all week. Celebrities, fashion editors, and style mavens are packed pointy elbow to pointy elbow in Bryant Park to see Fall 2008 looks from top designers. If you’re not an insider or a very, very close friend of an insider, you can forget about scoring an invitation into the tents.
It is reported that Fashion Week has combined the collections of Nicole Miller, BCBG Max Azria, Baby Phat, Erin Fetherston, Abayete, Perry Ellis, Victorya Hong (Project Runway), Rubin Singer and Nautica and that it opened with Rachel Roy’s new, Fall 2008 Collection.
“I love her orange and lime satin skirts, particularly how she contrasted the shine of the orange skirt with a grey tweed top,” OMG I Love Her Style! states.
Fashion Week has a number of shows, with different content and style. The blogger from MyItThings has taken part in the show and is delighted by seeing the Baby Phat show among others.
Yet, this season left me pleasantly surprise at Kimora’ s or her creative team’ s growth. Don’t get me wrong, the usual round-the-way girl flavor was present but her fall collection had a more mature elegance. Models strutted Kimora Lee-Simmons style in 1940’s flapper style dresses with delicate appliques.
