Ottawa Fashion Week
Fashion Weeks take place annually in big cites such as New York, Milan and London so its no surprise that Fashion Week of Canada will take place in Ottawa from 22-24 May 2008.
Ottawa Street Style reports that the Fashion Week will be the first to be held in this city and it involve both local and international designers.
Since this site does get a lot of hits, might as well generate some buzz around this awesome event taking place Thursday, May 22 to Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Arts Court in downtown Ottawa. Why you should go see this event? Well, it’s the first fashion week for Ottawa, I mean first EVER! Second, awesome parties. Third, great clothing, not only are there local and national designers, but international designers are signing up too! Fourth reason is because there is an overload of models and other good looking people of the sort “oh the clothing, oh the media” OH OTTAWA FASHION WEEK!
Capital Arts Online quotes Ottawa fashion designer Rosa Costanzo, who took part in Toronto Fashion Week two years ago, commenting on her experience working for and with Canadian population.
“I do want to do something creative, but I also want it to be commercial,” she says. “So, I think I’m right in the middle. I want to have something really unique and different, but I want to have the commercial aspect that people will actually buy it and wear it.”
