Jimmy Choo Sunglasses Collection
Jimmy Choo and Canadian designers Dsquared2 have signed a deal with Italian glasses manufacturer Marcolin to launch a new collection of sunglasses expected to be available for sale next year. The Jimmy Choo collection will include large sunglasses inspired by the early 70s and 80s frames.
Yahoo! News reports that all the sunglasses in Jimmy Choo Collection “come in metallic bags that double as a clutch bag.”
Inspired by oversize frames from the ’70s and ’80s like Linda Farrow, they’re perfectly in keeping with the Jimmy Choo vibe of fame and fabulousness, being one of Hollywood’s favorite labels for completing a red carpet look. Other fans include Jessica Alba and Kerry Washington.
SASSYBELLA.com quotes Maurizio Marcolin, the Style & Licensing Officer of Marcolin Group, commenting on the new collection of sunglasses.
“I’m very satisfied for (the) opportunity to launch a brand such as Dsquared2 in the eyewear industry. Dean and Dan Catens’ great potential and stylistic talent, combined with the high market appreciation for this brand, will ensure an extreme success over the years.”
Jimmy Choo is also quoted on Women’s Wear Daily, speaking about the company’s future plans.
“We’re going to continue developing this company independently. There is still potential for growth.”
